Greys River is located central western Wyoming with its confluence near Alpine in northern Lincoln County, Wyoming, USA. The river is about 65 miles (105 km.) in length, starting high up in the Wyoming Range, 40 miles south of the town of Alpine. The river eventually flows into the Snake River forming the Snake River Canyon.[1] It is a rushing mountain stream that separates the high Wyoming Range (east) and Salt River Range (west). The Greys River joins the Snake just above the intersection of highways 89 and 26. Just a short distance downriver from the confluence of the two rivers, the Snake widens quickly and passes through Alpine and enters into Palisades Reservoir. The largest tributary of Greys River is Little Greys River.
